Straight from the land of......"Gidea"??? A strange habit of mine whenever I step into a hotel room is to immediately go through the drawer to see if there is a Bible there. It's never failed no matter what country I was in or how off the beaten path the hotel was. They are always there and always say "Placed here by the Gideons." My question is how do they get there and who exactly are these Gideons. Have you ever met one or even seen one for that matter. Yet their mark can be found all over the world. I even tried an experiment once where I took one and placed it in my bag before leaving the room for a day. When I came back there was another bible. How did they get in my room are they ninja's or is there some secret sect of "Housekeeping Gideons". Who exactly decided that there should be a Bible in every hotel room? Where is there central base of operations is there a "Gidea"? How do they recruit...I mean if I wanted to become a Gideon could I apply or do they just choose people themselves. Have you ever been to a hotel room without a Bible? Do you ever wonder just how things got there? Oh as a side note this came up because of an argument. About whether taking a Bible from a hotel is stealing. I say no I think they want you to take them. I mean isn't that the point to spread the word. Anyway that argument from a person with Hilton bath towels just a little irony. RF  |

Perhaps Gideons aren't a bible-placing organisation - they're actually a vast evil capitalist conglomerate that owns and operates every hotel in the world. The bible thing is just a cover. That would explain it.

Fit: I knew it there are subliminal messages in those bibles aimed at getting people to travel more frequently. LS: Ah you say they are from another planet interesting I just thought they had a secret colony somewhere. I knew what their organisation was aimed for but didn't know you weren't supposed to take the bible. I thought that it was implied that if they wanted to spread the word of god what better way than to give it to people. Oh and I don't think buddhists call them bibles. I know there is some tricky name for it but without knowing it offhand I would just refer to them as buddhist scriptures. JayBee: No your perception of the truth does not really bother me much. However it bugs the hell out of my friends, and my blog isn't a place for slander or fighting so if you persist in doing so you will continue to get deleted. Besides you need some new material you are starting to sound like a broken record. RF

I go looking for the bible too every time I stay in a hotel Great minds think alike I almost feel reassured to find a bible in my hotel room even if its something I never plan on reading ever again `Velvet Hell is when u should have walked away, but u didn't.

i have heard of people using pages as rolling papers in desperate times.. (not a very nice thing to do) if this is going to get me looking every time i check into a hotel RF you are going to be very sorry!! Virtue Alone Ennobles

They also give out free Bibles. I picked up mine while I was going to school. I seem to recall a very startled Gideon when I thanked him for providing me the means to know my enemy.  I was once just the tiniest bit of a brat.

Any luck finding an old cunt willing to fulfill your puppy / old lady owner fantasies ?  You are probably going to delete this, but I want to everybody to know that this jerk once told me he hoped I get caught in a fire. He hoped I burn to death because he didn't like my opinions on a subject. This paper tiger was trying to impress the old bitches he interacts with on this site. Ladies are not looking for "puppies". I am a nice decent guy, but nobody would consider me to be a puppy.
