Wanted to share a bit of great news...
Wanted to share a bit of great news... ....as I just got this today. For some who know, and many who don't, I live with my mom and dad. Yeah, I know, I don't give a fuck about the jokes about a 50 year man, living in his parent's basement. I rent. I support my mom and dad also via means where I clean, I cook, I do a ton of stuff around the house, I take my mom to her kemo treatments. I have been helping to take care of my folks in their older age during retirement. I can't bring women into my house, it's their house, their rules. But I help because I want to help support them as much as I can while my mom is recovering from stage 4 colon cancer and my dad recently had a stroke a few months ago. It's not easy. Regardless of those facts, my mom was to go in for her yearly checkup after the surgery and the aggressive kemo treatments she underwent. They also did a needle biopsy to check certain areas to make sure she didn't have any cancer, to check up on her. Well... My mom is at this time cancer free. Again. Just typing that...I was able to take a HUGE breath and relax somewhat. Now...even though she is clear, they have reduced her kemo dosage to a lighter one and instead of every other week, she is now going once a month as a preventative dosage to make sure she STAYS cancer free. BUT....she's free of the cancer. SHE IS FREE OF THE CANCER!!! YAY! (does happy dance) *********** On another tiny bit of good news, I got my tax return back (yes I overpaid) and while it wasn't sizable, it will help to keep me afloat and the bills somewhat. I'm going try save as much as I can in order get enough get an apartment and now that my mom is doing better, I can focus on possibly getting a place closer my work instead of driving 40 miles one way work and 40 miles bac The distance is a killer on my vehicle. Hopefully I can find a place of my own within the next year as the goal is be back independent once again. ************ Look my last post, wasn't great. Today, things are BETTER. They are not great, but better, at least. Nothing good comes easy. But things are a hell of a lot better, and now I can breathe a bit easier. |

This is wonderful news. Just wonderful.....i can feel it in your writing...how pleased you are. U are def Blessed....in more ways that one. I am also glad that you are there supporting your folks. Its a win/.win for all...me thinks. It would be ideal to get a place in the middle of parents and work, so that you can get to both of them easily. Heres hopin that you do. Kudos.... Hope that chemo continues to kick cancers A$$ ~~
