Yes & No... We aren't so worried about the number its how old you LOOK mostly. I mean if ur only 35 but look like ur 45 well we wouldn't most likely be interested. Its all about maturity level too and if you are "wearing ur age well" Besides no one I know really is interested in getting down with grandma & grandpa when ur in ur 20-30's (okay majority don't)

I never stated MY preferences because they are not at issue. I defended the right of anyone to have theirs. And anyone can have whatever preferences they wish.

Of course, you never state why you posed this question. It's easy enough to answer within five minutes of cruising the site and seeing that my age, or yours, or the ages of others, do not fit the preferences of others, so, obviously, it's a factor.

If you truly believed that, you would not have responded to my first comment in the manner you did.

No, I responded to your "why the fuck" in a sarcastic manner. I also was making the point that some people whether you want to believe it or not are not as dogmatic and close minded as apparently you are.But on my blog you are welcome to your opinion no matter how close minded and dogmatic that you are.

So a person's age is not a crucial part of the person? Does it not give a clue as to what they relate to and what they've experienced? Is it not an indication of possible maturity (yes, I know...Some people are more/less mature than age alone would indicate)?

It is far less superficial than it seems. It is not the same as weight, height, race, hair color, eye color, education, financial status... blah blah as naseum. Sure, there are physical components attached to it, but it goes way beyond that.

So, again, why can't someone use age as a factor for defining their preferences? Are you saying we all should prefer everything? Are we not allowed to have preferences? And be more specific than trying to label age preference as "agism" or "shallow". Neither argument holds water.

You must be reading another post. I never said people can't use that as a preference. I was merely asking the question and asking others what they think in regard to the factor.

It is and should be. Why? Better question: Why the fuck not? Everyone here has preferences of some sort, so why not age? We have preferences for size, shape, race...age is just as important and is just as variable in terms of how much importance is placed on it.

Why the fuck not? I guess because some look at the person and not the numerical number. That's why the fuck not.
