 It's tough. If you write to get comments, blogs are rarely a suitable venue because people rarely comment on blog posts (and that isn't just here, that's across the blogosphere).

You maintain a blog because you want to write, not because you want someone to read it.

The magazine *might* be an alternative but I suspect that comments are thin there as well. I would look at blog post in other mens' journals that have garnered and look for a pattern in the topics.

 Harley, I have posted on our blog several times so it isn't you! People just don't make comments on a blog very much. Now for polls they do like to vote! Maybe try a poll out and see how it goes.

 After a while you tend to build up with watchers who usually comment because they like your blog. You have a number of watchers Dennis, so your blog is fine.

 Harley, have an idea for you on a topic. Service to your Country is the topic. Tells us where you did travel too while you were in the Army. There are always good stories out there and so many people have served. I write erotic stories and don't get too many comments on my blog either. I am doing it for myself and some readers who like to read.

 I don't know what works really Dennis. For the number of watchers I have I get a lot of comments I guess. I just write when I feel like it and about what comes in to my head. I like it when a blog turns in to a bit of a fun discussion.
