A No News Day


Ever the eternal optimist, I went with the morning news routine this morning. Yewho news is probably the most trifling news reporting on the whole wide web. It is more like reading the copy for Entertainment Tonight, they have an aversion to actual news reporting.
But after clicking on this article and reading it, I again find myself wondering how the hell we have gotten this completely illogical and are still able to survive.
There is a city in California that is suing a hot sauce company that has been in the city for over two years for stinking up the air for a ?few weeks a year? (The way it is written is misleading, so I am not sure if this is a constant stench or if it is only for a few weeks during harvest time.) And there are people up in ARMS over this. They are willing to risk losing yet more jobs for their city because the smell of peppers and garlic gets a little strong.
Fuck, ya'll, cut the lace off your panties and grow a fucking pair. You want to throw away jobs because you don't like a smell? How the fuck is that even remotely logical with the whole financial deck of cards getting ready to fold? If you are severely allergic, yeah it might be a problem. The simple solution to that is moving out of Los Angles all together, the air quality there is not worth a damn for people with allergies anyways, if what I read is true.
They can bring that shit right on to the Midwest. The wind blows strong here. Besides, if we can stand the stench of chemicals and plastics and insecticides....to infinity? We can take the pepper smell no problem. I know a lot of people who would be tickled to death to find a job right now.
Because in reality, sure it stinks, but the sound of playing in their own yards with full tummies outweighs a little stink.
I can think of a lot of things that stink worse than hot sauce ingredients.

How the hell did they name their kid after what is arguably one of the worst plane flights I was ever on? I swear to you I prayed from Kansas City to Minnesota on a Northwest connecting flight harder than I ever prayed in my life. That plane was creaking and groaning and we hit turbulence every three minutes.

I thought so, but since I have never really explored around there, I wasn't sure. We raised hogs when I was a kid, but they had a huge lot so there wasn't the big sewage slurry there to build up a stink. If people had to live around these things it would turn the whole world against bacon.

 You know, this is an ideal piece for an Op Ed somewhere. Of course, they would remove all the color, but the message would still come across.

It really is unbelievable. If what you've written is correct about it being only a few weeks per year, then it kind of makes these clowns look like... clowns.

I wonder if they would be interested in swapping homes?

I rarely ever write a response on any of these things that I read, just for the simple fact that I don't have time to mentally battle what amounts to a room full of 8 year olds. If you are ever bored and want to entertain yourself, pick any article and read the article, but then read the comments. It will make you wonder about your neighbors.

 For years, the majority of people and politicians in our city have been against big industry coming in. Smell is a big complaint...WTF...do they not smell their own schit...it doesn't smell for long. Like harley stated....some people have nothing else to do but bitch..
What would the bitchers do if the internet stunk every time they turned on their computer. I, myself, would just grin and bare it!

It is just pretentious bullshit, if you ask me. Here in Kansas City we have some stank-ass industries, but they pay their workers a decent wage, one of the biggest stench producers here has one of the best benefit packages you could imagine.
And there are some places on the internet that stink, but it is a different stink indeed. It usually smells like bullshit lol.

 People need to realize that the govt is spending their tax dollars every day and that some EPA official will make a career out of eliminating the smell of peppers and garlic from the air at the expense of even more jobs. The people in California seem to live in Fantasy Land

I was reading through the comments on the article and someone was saying there was a news reporter who went up to the stack and stuck his head right down in it while on the air. I think maybe someone wants to cause problems because they want to do something else with the property.

 every industry,employer,business brings with it an inherent risk,downfall,environmental hazard. we all live amidst some level of danger/discomfort. I am sure many unemployed people would love to smell some garlic or peppers as they go to cash their paycheck.
