Super Hot Chick + Testimonial = SPAM
Testimonials are now being reviewed for Spam



So I get these too. Sitting in my testimonials right now I have:

kelly - 22 yrs old, she's single and up for anything fun
casee - wants me join her in her world of fantasies
Nicole - Thinks I'm HOT and wants to chat at cutei_nicole87 AT yEAhu0 dat cUm

At first I was like, "Oh hell yeah. I'm totally famous on TSmeet and tons of hot 23 year old women so want me." Then I slowly realized these girls where probably other doods looking to get something out of me. So yes, there is a bit of a loophole for spammers here. I know it's frustrating, especially for guys.

That's why earlier this week we started putting all testimonials through our abuse queue. That means the testimonials are being reviewed now (they weren't earlier). This should really help cut down on on the fakes that reach you through testimonials.

Let me know if you see a decrease. It would help to get feedback on how it's working.

 To me this is the same as what I said before. I think that non-paying members don't have the option, but paying members CAN set their preferences to say "accept all testimonials" or "accept only testimonials from those in my network". I hate to sound repetitive, but this is to me, me personally and a few others, no different than that infamous "invite to network" and "flirts" problem that people ARE using them not for what they are intended but to get around filters and settings and there is NO button to say just 'turn them off' or any other option.

YES, I got one as well as email from a female (21) doing/saying the SAME things and I knew automatically it was NOT real. Unfortunately too many 'want to' believe it is real and jump to do it and end up disappointed shall we say. I am glad they are going to review them, but an option to have them fit 'filter' or 'cupid settings' can reduce this problem also!!! Paying or non-paying member, it should be an option to ALL to be able to adjust the settings.

 Can you add the report for abuse button to testimonials Ryan? I had one of these this week from a female lol and had no other option than to accept or delete. If we could report them then it would surely help the abuse team filter out these bots. Thanks for keeping up the pressure on these spammers if enough people report them they may get the message that they are not welcome here.

 I had a real testimonial disappear that I didn't delete nor did I delete any others to trigger the loss as seems to happen to some these days. Sad part is, I can't remember which one I lost.

 So glad you are starting to do this, but I WAS using them as a barometer to give me an idea of a guy's intelligence. Now I'll have to resort to more devious methods like seeing if they know how to hit the spellcheck button for their profiles. LOL
2022... it HAS be better, right?!

 I see some standard members discussing their inability to leave testimonials saying they are re-directed to the upgrade page.

Please clarify if there are any new boundaries for leaving testimonials by standard members other than a review for bot-like content.
