Taking Stock

I've been running myself ragged lately chauffering various women around town...one might even say "escorting" them on their rounds. But the car has just gone into the shop for what may be days' worth of repairs, so it looks like I'll have a well-earned vacation.

Some of my friends were dismayed by my interest in a sweet young thing a mere 34 years my junior. A half-joking remark that "The Professor ought to stop stalking that poor girl" was severely misconstrued by both the object of that sentence and her mother, so sadly that may be the end of my little episode with Laundromat Girl. She could be a bit on the volatile side, anyway.

On a more jocular note, a catfight between Laundromat Girl and another lady friend who I was helping move, who allegedly bumped Laundromat with a moving box, has been reported in some circles as them fighting over...me.

As I spend a few days more or less confined to home....less than more, since when carless I tend to walk as much as miles to where I need to go...I may take time to re-evaluate my situation. Or just take video calls from an old lady friend in Colorado, recently discharged from confinement, which is not the same thing at all.
