 Turn music on tastefully loud for a couple of days at the same time the shower is on so people think you like loud music in the shower. Turn Pete on and take a discreet walk around outside the room to get an idea how much you can hear. When you get the volume settings just right, have at it. Voila!

 Unless Pete is a Sybian (which I have been told there is no replacement for), you need to shop for a new Pete. There are too many out there that are super quiet, yet pack a powerful punch. Have fun coming up with a new name, etc... Then when at home, you could introduce the two and have a really good time!
