Yeah, thats a true quote for sure, 'murica. I can see the day will come when I am able to say "fuck you" to my bosses and walk out the door, but unfortunately its not anytime soon. So when can I take the Veyron out? Aut viam inveniam aut faciam Tips for Guys to Meet Women Things i miss most about relationships

I completely agree with the idea of the "fuck you" position and envy everybody I know that has made it there. Personally I am still much closer to "fuck me" than "fuck you", but that's why I keep buying lottery tickets... I hope you have an amazing trip and wish I could be there with you for some of it.

What is your position on the position of fuck you? Do you agree? I applaud the idea of financial independence - of being able to do what you want . . . and never being in a position of "must do" things that you find distasteful at work. But it doesn't follow that financial independence always needs to translate into "fuck you". The "No, sorry - I won't be doing that" construct has always served me pretty well when I felt I was being asked to do something wrong for me, or something that was just plain wrong, objectively. I guess the question is - for people who have been sufficiently successful to have achieved financial independence: why would you continue to work in a job you find distasteful . . . or work FOR a boss who pushes your buttons to the point where you feel the need to say "Fuck you" ? Nothing wrong with hiring someone to clean your house . . . nothing wrong with indulging yourself with a holiday in a nicer climate . . . and nothing wrong with buying yourself a high-end car - even more than one high-end car, if you can afford it. But why are any of those things "Fuck you" moments ? Good for you that you've achieved financial independence, Soaking. That's something to be feel good about and to be happy over . . . not something to motivate angry or abrasive behavior. So no, . . . no, I don't see the position of "Fuck you" as straight up awesome. Most other people are walking a hard road. If they behave badly towards you, then avoid them is my suggestion - don't taunt them with "Fuck you". While if they haven't behaved badly to you, then be kind - not boastful or unpleasant. Karma has it's own way of achieving balance - you can do better things with your time than try to rebalance Karma on your own, ya.
