I love that MEME as it's so true, from one strong lady to another, we have been there and done that my friend. I stopped coloring my hair years ago, as I my grey make my hair look like it's frosted so I am good with that. I am glad your enjoying your new hair style. I hope your Monday is a great start to your week..
I knew you would like that meme I do LOVE my new hairstyle. What I don't love is the heat, humidity and thunderstorms that have been rolling through my area. Hope you are keeping well.

As far as your male friend who said he is not attracted to women with gray hair... I know it is much easier to be affected by one negative comment compare to 20 positive comments. But at the end of the day, you have to be happy with yourself.

One example....I started buzzing my hair about 8 years ago. I have a really nice thick head of salt and pepper hair but i just wanted to buzz it off and not have to fuss with it every day.

So a female friend if mine old me she is more attracted to me when my hair is longer. Short hair on men is not attractive. Honestly, it didn't affect me because I have no interest in her, I don't care if she is attracted to me so, it's her issue.

Don't let your friend male get to you if you are happy with your hair.
I was surprised and annoyed. After letting him know my thoughts, the call was over. I told him I wouldn't send an updated picture and I haven't. I don't dwell on stuff like that. Positivity trumps negativity.

Yes because that's really ALL that matters.

Don't le it worry you even a little. Be your self. When I was 21 my hair got thin. when I was 25 It was almost all gone, Now, I can get a hair cut in 2 min, I can jump in the shower dry off and with a whisk of a dry towel and 1 min it is dry, just no up keep. I know you say that is different, it may be but still some men fight for all just to keep a full head of hair. The color as long as it is well groomed just doesn't matter, Is good to look at. It just shows your strength and life experiences ..
Oh trust me, I am so over it. I LOVE my natural self. And you are right, it is a reflection of my strength and life experiences! Nice to see you dropping by again

The color of her hair is not a factor. Her comfort with herself and whether she has a positive or negative attitude plus intelligence is what attracts me.
I agree that attitude, intelligence and confidence are attractive attributes much more than hair colour or the lack thereof

I have been bald since I was 28. Tried to comb over and finally decided that was stupid, vain and looked really bad. After that I kept it cut short a few years then just started shaving my head. I figure anyone who judges you by your looks is not someone I want around me. They are shallow, with a low self esteem and trying to make themselves feel better about they're own failings. Lie life on your own terms and screw anyone who doesn't like it. And I think you are a mature, Sexy woman. Jack
Jack, I couldn't have said it better . Thanks for stopping by...perhaps you will again.

I did the same about 10 years ago. I love it, and like you said, saved thousands (yes thousands) of dollars over the years. I get more compliments on it than I ever did when I was trying to cover the gray. Or even for that matter before I ever saw a single strand of gray. If someone doesn't like it, too bad for them, there's 20 more that DO like it.
It's funny and kind of sad, how many of us try to deny the evolution of our hair colour. Congratulations on accepting and embracing your grey hair. Now I just have to find the right shampoo!

I genuinely feel sad for those who have pre-defined acceptance criteria for who'd they'd like to meet (and possibly become intimate with).

    To each, his/her own.

In my simple world, grey (or gray) hair can be very attractive and can re-inforce the image of a mature woman.

That being said, a very beautiful brunette, auburn, red, black, blonde, etc woman can also be very unattractive to me if she is not a good person on the inside.

Three years ago, my ex began to let her natural hair color grow out...I think she looks incredible with her long silver locks (and because I still have a great deal of respect for her as the person she is).

If your personal choice is to be natural, be confident in that decision (own it)...your beauty will show through!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your positive perspective. I had read a very insightful story of a woman's journey through the progression and acceptance of her changing hair colour. It was the final nudge I needed. When you feel good, you look good

I started getting grey hairs (on my head) when I was a Junior in High School.
At first I felt embarrased that I had them, and I would yank them out and pretend they never existed.
One day a girl, (who was very attractive, one of many high school crushes) was talking with her friend. The friend said to attractive girl, "You got a gray hair right here!" and was reaching up, as to remove it. Attractive girl said, "No, leave it there, I earned that gray hair!"

And that mundane, seemingly meaningless exchange stuck with me forever.

Since then, I have a thing for women with gray hair.
Silver hair is SO hot on women! I love it!!
What a great, personal and insightful story you shared. Thank you! And there are many shades of grey, at least 50, right?

First of all I think you are a strong woman that is my opinion and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I have always felt that you thought you are a strong woman as well. I have to disagree with you on the gray hair. If I care about the color of your hair then I am to shallow and you should tell me to get lost. I just saw a friend of mine that I use to work with. She is mid to late 40's. She colored her hair light gray with pink strips through it. I love it and she looks good in it. Any man worth a damn would see a beautiful woman with a heart of gold, who is strong, and tells it like she see's it just as I do. I care about you (now it would bother me if we were dating and you didn't was it a pet peeve of mine) not the color of your hair. But if you're happier with it after you got it cute then that's the only thing that matters!!
Thank you for the compliments. I have noticed many younger women, colouring their hair in varying shades of grey. It is much more accepted now and should not be associated with being "old"

I like my grey hair ! Whats left of it anyways !! Grey hair is a badge of Honor not everyone is lucky enough to get older....and the wrinkles on my face ..well some are from laughing and some from shedding tears when we lost loved ones ...I get teased also about my grey hair or lack of it ! But i usually remind the kids yapping they are next !!To get older And I worked for what I got in life not like the generation next that wants government handouts !! I am so glad the age I am !!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your personal and insightful perspective. It's important that we embrace ourselves. I do strive to be the best ME.

I am more partial to shorter hair, especially in summer. I will keep the colour in its natural shade but not sure about the length.

I have been married three times and two of my wives have had to deal with the atrocities of breast cancer including being bald from chemo treatments for several months. But you want to know something? While their physical appearance may have been different they were still the same person I was married to. As for me, I have a little hair left, some is grey, some is still brown. I have some of the dreaded "turkey neck" working, and although I am 20 pounds lighter that I was a few years ago, my belly is a little bigger than it was then. As I have matured I have come to believe that it isn't the cover of the book that is important but the content beneath that cover. So for me, I don't care what is on the cover, I want to read the story.

I know first hand how devastating cancer can be. I love, “it isn't the cover of the book that is important but the content beneath that cover….I want to read the story.” We all have our own story to tell whether or not others want to listen. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your perspective.
