A New York Thing... 9
I went to New York to pick up my car on Tuesday. Since my friends were at work I was left to my own devices.

So I figured I would walk around Manhattan and do the tourist thing. I also got in a hour of exercise. It felt really good. There are several miles of track/pathway for walking, riding, jogging or skating that runs parallel to the shoreline on one side, and the West Side Highway on the other side.

I figured I would kill several birds with one stone, hence, the day I had.

I didn't plan on taking pics but I couldn't pass up the chance. Fortunately, I had my Nexus tablet with me, so I took a few shots.

I will post them before I load this post!

I lived in New York (Westchester suburbs) for close on 20 years, and made the mistake of driving to Manhattan during the Christmas holidays, and I'm glad I went with a full tank of gas.

Swore I would never be caught in Manhattan during any holidays again (at least, not driving!)

 It looks like you had an awesome trip to NY! Great photos through out your blog you too hugs V ty for sharing. I been on Carrier before. It is one big ship to say the least.

Oh, my trip was awesome... crazy times on the return trip though.

Despite all my years in New York I have only been on the Intrepid once, which is a shame!

It sure does. This one is the forward-facing camera; apparently I'm in line to get the one with both forward and rear-facing cameras, which will solve a lot of my problems.

I try to get to New York maybe every 4 to 6 weeks but close as I am I rarely go to the city. I'm usually out in the 'burbs, Queens, Bronx, Long Island; all within a hours drive.

But I'm having too much fun to visit the city!
