Finally, some progress

I looked back and Sept 20th I posted about starting the pad for my house and shop, and finding top soil 2 1/2 thick, which made it expensive to get some clay moved. I figured it would of cost about 8,000 dollars if I hired it done. Well here it is December 28 the and I finished hauling clay myself about 6 pm last night. I also worked all of Christmas day on it. But I just have to put the final touches on it and I can start the foundation. It finally dried up enough that I could run the tractor with a dirt pan, it had been so muddy since harvest I had not gotten anything done with any of my projects. So this isn't sex related, or anything interesting, ha ha just glad to be in the spot I now. Ha ha we had about two inches of rain last night, so it is muddy again. Have a great great new year's.
The picture is the building site from the road this morning.

Yep I will have the concrete finished, and I have some Amish buddies that will help me with the framing and exterior, then I will do everything else myself. It will be about three thousand SQ feet and I plan on doing it for fifty thousand dollars.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you'll continue making progress. Can't wait to see more pictures!

I don't imagine I will be able to do much until late Feb, or early March. But I am happy having the pad built, it ended up being being about 100 dump truck loads.
