New science behind Female Squirting!

I haven't geeked out scientifically for a while here on my blog, so it's time, and what a science info did I come across! On Christmas Eve, women all over the world got interesting present from The Journal of Sexual Medicine in a form of an article aptly named 'Nature and Origin of “Squirting” in Female Sexuality'.

And the gist of the message, or the squirt if you like, is that basically it is involuntary peeing.

The science behind it actually was fairly straight forward, use of pelvic ultrasound scanning to monitor bladder volume, along with chemical analysis of the fluid. Volunteers provided regular urine samples first, which accompanied emptying of the bladder as determined by the ultrasound. Subsequent sexual arousal showed filling of the bladder, and squirting which lead to emptying of the bladder. Chemical analysis showed same composition to that of urine as well. Well... almost! Majority of the volunteers also contained traces of prostatic-specific antigen, which is typically found in the white milky female ejaculation, so there definitely was that contribution as well. Sigh of relief for all those squirt drinkers that you can still claim you did consume some ejaculate, rather than being just a pee drinker!

So there you have it: another mystery solved thanks to modern science.

What I wondered is why this phenomenon has still not been conclusively scientifically settled until now. I can guarantee you that much research has been done on the subject of male squirting, of all kinds of forms! So why lagging so much behind with women?

It probably has to do with the taboo nature of this subject in our society, even amongst women-only gatherings. I do suppose it is not a subject for your afternoon tea, but why not? Well, now you can throw some science behind it and appear very educational

But as you can see, there is progress; women rejoice! The same scientific team wants to investigate why the phenomenon of squirting actually occurs, and investigate work of kidneys during the process to be able to refill the bladder in such rapid fashion as observed in the studies.

So stay tuned for more afternoon tea topic updates!

Oh, and for my prior scientific musings please see If you could enter someones mind, would you

IMPORTANT BONUS INFORMATION FOR MEN: In the study it took between 25-60 mins before women reached their orgasm. Something to keep in mind before you think you fully satisfied yourself and your partner next time you have sex!

So much for scientifically geeked out!

Had you ever experienced the female ejaculation? Ever seen a woman urinate? The latter is most definitely salty while the female orgasm ranges from clear with zero urine enzymes to cloudy and gooey and even clear containing creamy like colored particles.

I completely agree with you Professor, and the female ejaculation you described appears to be completely separate phenomenon to squirting, at least by these authors. And to answer your questions, it is YES to both, but luckily for me far more frequently for the former than the latter
