Thank you honey! The trails aren't very well marked in the Preserve, but the scouts did nail up these triangles now and then. I take a lot of photos of them but don't very often post them. I couldn't resist this one, the way the dogwood overgrew the marker. In a very short time Al Sabo will be shining with dogwood flowers. It's breathtaking in springtime. I love how the tree is swallowing those markers. .. I see them do that here with fences. .. And there's one down the street that was cut from a wire that it grew around. There's still a little piece hanging from the wire.

The Preserve is reclaimed farmland, for a pristine watershed. Most of it is reforested, and it's left natural, except for trail clearing. So you see a lot of this- nature taking control again. The city's wellheads are in the Preserve, and they keep their roadway clear, and maintain the wellheads. There are a couple of stairways and some trail posts. A gas pipeline runs through the Preserve too. Other than that, the place is all "Let It Be". And it's wonderful! Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

There are days it's hard to get off my ass and go, but Gracie is just crestfallen when we don't, and she always makes it worthwhile.
