With all of the excitement on the eclipse today, I felt compelled to post this one... Afterall, it is one of your faves and I too can listen to oldies as well as the ones fresh off the printing presses... so to speak... except, in my world it would be a different song channel... Still, these<b> lyrics </font></b>evoke the feeling of a relationship that has ended for one of the lovers... and, will end for both with this realization coming to fruition... Does love disappear overnight... For me, it does not... it never has... but, for some, it seems to do just that... I don't think I'm fickle... (well, aside from my sliding top 30 and other weaknesses that I have) and I embrace true love with all of my melonlicious and non-melonlicious breasted Aphrodite's for love that see me... if ever, so briefly... We can sense a change... when that look is no longer focused... when that desire has waned... when, another has captured that interest... sometimes, it is us... sometimes, it is them... oh, how they hurt us... It seems as though it is always the one that is last to find out that questions what has happened, when... how can this be... and, yet... most of us have all been there at one time or another... so, on this ecliptical day, I leave you with this one my little pretties... an oldie, but goodie.. This song, is not speaking of "Love", but merely infatuation. True love, as people like to romantically state it, is actually a "Loyalty". Within infatuation, you don't have "Loyalty", you have "Lust". Both are states-of-being that can be lost, however "Lust" is so much more flimsy. thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. I agree with you, that it does kinda describe today and the eclipse... The eclipse also takes me back to the movie Apocalypto... there's a scene in the film where a young girl predicts a darkness over the people... I had fun with this post and the eclipse... had lunch with my daughter... we watched CNN and witnessed the eclipse as it progressed across the country... I enjoyed the coverage...
