Dare I dream
Of next year's Christmas?
One in which
We spend together?
Sporadically alone
As we couple
To our relatives?

Ah! To have my life
Combined
And enriched
For once intertwined
With a love interest!
Holiday excitement
And bliss!

Something that
I have dearly missed
All these lonely<b> holidays
</font></b>In which my silent wish
Was not granted.

But I would accept
Such hardship
Knowing you,
My love, are now
My most cherished present!
