Why do women prefer assholes?

Why do women prefer assholes? Some may claim that this is just sour grapes, others may agree with me. Why is it that some women fall all over themselves and chase around the biggest (pardon my language) assholes in the world when way better Men are sitting right in front of them. I have heard excuse after excuse as to why one of my female friends is seeing/still with someone when all that guy does is treat them like shit, and in one instance beats them. I just don't get it, why choose the asshole when somebody who will treat you way better is sitting right in front of you. Is it looks, is it the bad boy image, I just don't get it. Any and all responses welcomed. |

Nightmusic83, does your friend know that the nice guy sitting in front of her is interested in her that way? Most guys like that don't come out and say it; they expect the woman to figure it out. Well, how can she when she's busy trying to please the asshole she is with? So, if you are the nice guy, you better find a way to tell her that you are interested. Good luck!

Generally, if someone does something irrational and self-destructive, and causes everyone around them to wonder "What the hell is she thinking?" it's usually a sign that there are deeper issues (as BliissfulLatina alluded to). There was a famous self-help book published some 30 years ago which offered an explanation: "Women Who Love Too Much" by Robin Norwood. In short, the author explained that this pattern is learned behavior and has a lot to do with a person's upbringing. Most of these women never break the cycle. They just repeat what they've learned, unless the get help and make changes, so these women you are referring to will never be interested in a healthy relationship with a nice guy. On the bright side, you're lucky NOT to be involved with such a person. Seriously.

I don't chase bad boys, but I do tend to be attracted to emotionally unavailable guys. Still comes to the same conclusion of me getting hurt. I do try to give most guys a chance. I don't think I'm that picky. If we click, have things in common, can have conversations (which is so rare) then that's 75% of the struggle. That attracts me to a guy. I sent an Angel to watch over you last night, it returned in a hurry. I asked why, it said "Angels can't watch porn." Thanks for fucking traumatizing my fucking Angel! Don't bother trying to figure me out. Not even the little voices in my head understand me. It's pointless!

Maybe you're just not all that...  Maybe they are at a stage in life when they want some excitement (however weird) and not the relative boredom of a stable relationship. Maybe he has a big cock. And maybe, rather than wondering why she wants to be with him instead of you, you should wonder why you want a woman who wants to be him. What does it say about her that she'd make such a mistake? And in turn what does it say about you that you'd want someone with such little self-awareness?
