This is What I did Today- My Platform!!!

This is What I did Today- My Platform!!! I came up with a project call ."We Support Our Police Officers". I had a T shirt printed it saying that. and what I do is go around town. asking people to sign it for me. I also ask Police Officers to do it. and while they do it. I take the time to explain both sides why is important to work with each other. example today. 5 different Police Officers sign my t shirt. and I told all of them how our community wants to feel safe and protected by them. Not attack. to treat people with dignity and respect. I do the same with the community when people sign it. I tell them importance of supporting our Police Officers. how important communication is and also that is important to keep the level of respect with them. Once I get the T shirt full of signatures. I will donate it to the Police Department. That way they can put on display at their station. that will serve as a reminder of how important it is for them to work and embrace the community with respect and dignity. I was actually invited by the Police Department to stop by the station this coming weekend. so that I can get as many Police Officers to sign it. I think that it will be a great opportunity to pass my message to all of them. so of course I said yes. I am going. I am glad that they like the idea. and are showing their support to it. Today I walk around approaching anyone and everyone, talking to people about it. Cops or Not. and asking to please sign it. I was able to get around 40 signatures. I will continue working on it every chance I get until I get it full. is important to note that the signature is not as important. Getting the message to the community and to the Police Officers. that is what counts. Not sure how much good this will do. but I am doing my part to help both sides to understand that we should respect each other. and to treat each other as human beings. that is all I can do. I have 2 others projects that I will be working with the public next. One will be getting a t-shirt against bullying or harassment, Online or in Person. I will go out and talk to people about it. will even tell them about my personal experiences that I have had with that issue. have then sign the tee shirt. and once is full of signatures. I will offer to donate the t shirt to TSmeet. will see if they will accept it, so that they can display a picture of the tee somewhere in here. But of course. that will be totally up to them. This is a great site, and I think that message will help them grow even more for the obvious reasons. But my main goal will be going out to the streets talking to people about that issue. explaining to people that bullying or online harassment can be consider a crime now days. and you can be persecuted for it. I know you can. you can be hold accountable for your actions online when you harass people. Those are my PERSONAL projects. I wanted to share them with you. I hope you find them as interesting as I do. and If no. that is good too. not everyone would like someone else ideas. I totally understand it. and I get that.   |
