Which came first

Friends with benefits just seems like a headache to me. Too much drama potential honestly.

But I am curious about long term relationships of this type. By long term I mean over 1 year. Which comes first? The friendship or the benefits? Do you accidentally end up in bed with a friend, or do you accidentally become friends with someone you fuck? Or is friends with benefits just a polite term for the person you contact for a booty call?

I think friendship first although I am sure it can happen either way. Do we really ever accidentally end up in bed?

Friends with benefits is someone you enjoy doing things with outside the bedroom. As well as in the bedroom, but you don't let love get involved.

I can only comment on my concept of fwb and how it's worked for me..... The friendship definitely came first. Shared interests, experiences, etc. Taking the time to get to know the other person outside the bedroom (obviously with the idea of a sexual relationship in mind) otherwise it's simply fucking.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with fucking, but some folks (myself included) prefer a bit more than that and the friendship/connection is what makes the difference.
