TGIFF!!!
TGIFF!!! What a crazy week!! Blew the tire on Monday going to work, cost $160 to get it fixed. Talked to my on Monday night and told him about the tire, to which he laughed and teased me about driving like a crazy woman. Got a text from him Tuesday morning, guess what??? He blew a tire on his way to work…. Moral of that story…. Don’t tease your Mother… karma is a BITCH Bud!! So of course I had to raze him about driving like a mad man and laugh at him. Thursday was a stormy evening, so stormy that I left my car at work and work sent me home in a cab and gave me a voucher to get back to work this morning by cab…. Now I know the cabs will be busy this morning so I call 45 minutes before I want to leave and end up waiting for an hour. Not too bad considering. I get to work and get to my desk… can’t find my phone. “Oh crap, did I leave it in the cab??” I call the cab company and tell the dispatch I may have left my phone in the cab that picked me up at X and dropped me at Y. I let dispatch know I had been in a van (which narrowed the list down) I remembered what the cab driver was listening to on the radio and told dispatch. She knew exactly who the driver was. I gave her the phone number at reception to call and let me know if they find it. Then went to reception to explain what was going on. I went back to my desk where one of my coworkers asks if I had tried to call my phone, “No, I have no phone to call it and it is long distance so can’t call from the office phone” She hands me her phone and says I have unlimited long distance so try it. I called and no answer. I sat down to start work and five minutes later get an email from reception letting me know that my phone was there. The cab driver had dropped it off. He explained to reception that his passenger heard the phone ring (it had fallen under the seat) and that is when they found it, and because I had called dispatch he knew where to return it. I was so very thankful. For most of us, our entire lives are in it. At least for me, my work schedule, all my , addresses. As well as my shopping lists, some of my writing, all the things I use every day. I started thinking, how have we become so dependent on our cell phones? What would you do if you lost your phone? Do you keep everything in it?? |

What would you do if you lost your phone? Reconsider having a cell phone. Do you keep everything in it? I have as little as necessary in mine. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Will probably get one when I get moved. Cheaper internet and television package with a house phone added Either of the companies I would go with for the service in this area both come with unlimited North America long distance too.... I would even be able to call the US free of charge... WOW, I can't do that on my cell. Actually, I've had a cell since around August - and don't really like it. It is handy sometimes but that's about it. I don't do bundling because if i lose one of the services it is likely all 3 would not work. I had that happen with my landline and internet a couple times. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Two words: Back up! Data in one place is data you should consider not to exist. Not trying to be harsh, but backing up is insurance for your data. At a minimum store it in the cloud. Then if you lose the phone, go get a new one, sign into your accounts and all your stuff drops down to the new phone.

Everything on my phone is also on the cloud, which is shared with hubby. It would be inconvenient and expensive to replace it though My phone is also my computer and camera. I would be a little worried about the pics on my phone, but they need my thumbprint or 6 character password to get in, and I also have a remote "kill switch" that I can use.
