Can we all spare a moment today, to reflect on the Allied Service Men that Fought and Died on the beaches of Normandy! It is 74 years today, since our forces stormed the beaches of France, that would eventually lead to the defeat of the Nazi's.

 I'm glad you posted this. I've been reading and re-reading about D Day lately, and watching a few documentaries about it. One of my uncles piloted an LCT at Utah Beach. After delivering his tanks he went back to the command ship and asked for a new assignment. They told him he didn't have one. They never expected him to come back from the first one.
