Why do women lose interest in sex ? et me preface this by saying this is not a complaint about my wife. I'm just hoping to get some insight. Go to any online chat room and invariably it is full of men like me, in their 50s, horny, married and yet they've lost connection to their partners. Why? For me throughout most of my marriage I had a lower sex drive than my wife did. But with the onset of menopause that has completely changed. My Significant Other ; that I sometimes call my Wife; after menopause, in her early 40's, had a really & totally messed-up menstrual cycle !! One example; she would cycle for two days, then nothing for two weeks, then full flow for a week & a half !! OB/GYN had given her numerous different pills over the course of 2 years !! She had very sporadic sex drive to say the least !! Final possible option by her OB/GYN was a Complete & Total Hysterectomy !! Side effect of that ended up with her having NO sex drive !!! I also noticed at times rather than us both sometimes being around the house in the evening nude that she had started being in panties & bra and then told me she no longer enjoyed being nude other than for a shower or bath and would I wear underwear from then on !!

Having been through menopause myself due to surgery . I have to say for quite a few of my female friends and myself when menopause hits we tend to feel less desirable , you may have noticed your spouse doesn't wear as much sexy lingerie as she once did . She internally could be questioning her appearance . As La La said she might need to seek professional help either on the medical side of things to check for hormonal upsets , or maybe she fell into a bit of depression . That can happen for so many women who are in the throes or post menopause . Very similar to post partum depression . For myself I was lucky , as your wife is I had a very patient partner . I got through to the other side feeling even more desirable . Once hitting that other side it is important to continue to use it as they say . The more frequently any person orgasms the more desirable they feel .
