The stars dance in merriment against the velvet black of night.
The crickets serenade with their nightly songs of love.
A whistling wind blows through her hair…lifting it from her alabaster neck.
Her lover stands beside her, gazing deep into her eyes.
The sky lights up with electricity that neither can deny.
As she looks into his heart, so clearly shining thru his eyes.
The roar of thunder rushes past, chasing the light it will never catch.
And though the stars still dance, they cast no light…
For the impending storm waits not for love or passion.
And yet, the crickets will sing again.

As if all of the turmoil must find a release.
Softly rolling down my cheek,
Losing a small part of itself along the way…
Just like me.
Pausing, perhaps anticipating the plunge.

As if to capture the glory of beginning.

Do you ever wonder what you would discover,
Looking at the world thru the eyes of another?
Would red look red, would blue seem blue?
Would you desire the same things that you do?
Would the ocean look as huge or an ant as small?
Do you think you could tell any difference at all!
Could looking thru the eyes of another
Transform a stranger into a brother?
How could a parent ever be untrue,
If they shared their ’s point of view?
How could men ever kill one another,
If they saw thru the caring eyes of a mother?
I think it would be a wonderful surprise
If we could look thru another’s eyes.
But I’ll be happy with my eyes for a while…
Because they let me see your beautiful smile.
