I have offered this as advice in the TSmeet magazine... I am not sure they will publish it or not. But here it is...

How shocking?

In this day and time I find it very hard to believe that a young woman would just go to a hotel meet a guy (Dom) that she has never met before and let him tie her up. This is actually happening? How shocking! I am a very cautious person and go on my gut instincts usually after a few emails, some phone conversations, at least one face to face meeting (many times it all ends there), and I have to at least feel safe with the person. I also arrange the friend to call me, give exact information of where I will be and always call that friend when I arrive. We have a secret word… where they call me in 15 minutes and if I say the word they call the cops if not they know to call me again in 2 hours. On the second call we go through a new code and they know that I am still safe or in trouble by my response. When I finally meet with someone for a scene the first time, hopefully I have gotten to know them pretty well; I have a similar safety net in place. But with all of my caution I have still been in trouble a couple of times.

Once I met a gentleman at a local restaurant and when we were about to sit down he wanted us to leave and go to another restaurant. (RED FLAG) Still giving the benefit of the dough I agreed after calling and informing my friend were we would go… but I still did not get in a car with him. He was ticked but I told him that the only way I would go was if I drove myself. Our dinner-meeting went down hill from there as he told me that first he wanted me to turn off the phone (I REFUSED). He got ticked. Before we left the restaurant that evening I was very clear with him that I didn’t think that we were a good match. Well he was a little more than ticked and got all red faced. I had then dreaded the walk to my car so I excused myself and hit the ladies room for a final phone call to my friend … I told him that I was feeling uncomfortable about the situation. Keeping the phone on speaker I walked to my car, but to get to my car I had to walk by his truck. I was dumb struck when I looked inside from the driver side window and noticed no inside handles on the passenger side door. At my car door I told him goodnight.

When he decided to man handle me a little and force a kiss, my phone being on speaker told him in no uncertain terms that the cops were on the way. Mr. Psycho got in his truck and left. And the cops did come… I gave them his license plate number (forgot to tell you that I gave that number to my friend before going into the restaurant). So… what if I had gotten in his truck? I have asked myself that question each time I have meet with someone.

So girls and boys… please find a good system that works for you and be careful… the crazy ones still look normal. Stay safe!
