Meet and Greet Expectations

I enjoy meet and greets. I think that they are a great way to put faces to names. Apparently, the majority of people will not attend them. Below are a list of the things that I hear regularly and why it pisses me off.
1. This one I hear from men all the time "I don't go to meet and greets because I feel like it's gonna be a sausage fest."
What bothers me about this one is that yes, for sure. Sometimes there are more men than women. But what's the problem with that? You may meet some kick-ass people there that are not your type but turn out to be a total blast. It's just like going to a bar. You never know who is going to sit down on the stool next to you.
2. Again, from men: "I won't compete with other guys for a hook up." Seriously? This one bothers me on two levels. A) As I type this I have 1634 emails in the last 30 days in my inbox. Do you really think that you aren't competing?  Myself and all the legit women I know on this site are NOT at the meet to hook up. You can guarantee that none of us are going home with anyone that night. So, if you think coming out to one = you getting laid, think again.
3. "I won't know anyone there." This one I understand. However, there is always a member in the group that will take you around and introduce you. Walk up and say, "Hey! are you with the site? I'm so and so." Watch the group for a minute or two from afar, assess who is the most talkative and go up to that person. Once you make a little conversation with them, ask if they would introduce you around.
4. "I don't do group meets." This is BIG red flag for me as well as the majority of women on here. Why? Are you married and can't be seen in public? Are you that ugly that you can't handle being in a group of people? The way I (and others) see it, is if you won't go out and meet people as a group, then meeting as a one on one is not really an option. Not only is it the questions above that are a concern, but if you really think about it, it could be a safety thing for the woman as well.
I guess what I am trying to get across here is, come out. Hiding behind a keyboard is not going to get you laid. It's not going to get you introduced to others and you never know, you may make a friend that you never would have met otherwise!

My best friend Mike and one of his co-workers decided that they were going to face their fear of heights and go skydiving. I made the mistake of telling them I would drive out to innisfail with them for it.
6am comes early  up at 6 and out the door by 7. These guys are bat shit crazy!!!! Did you know they jump from approx 10k feet?
Anyways... We are sitting here waiting for their turn and I am wondering if I would ever do it. I don't think I can let go of control enough to do it. Do you have the balls to do it????

I was fortunate enough to have a meeting to attend in the Okanagan on Wed. My folks are currently out at the cabin on Mara Lake and I thought that it would be great to tie the meeting in with some time in a bikini on the beach

Thursday evening can't come soon enough.

Sordid Details of an Epic Weekend

The past weekend started about 3 weeks ago. My best friend *Mike is leaving us for the great city of Toronto. I decided it would be great to thow a surprise going away party for him and at the same time have friends down from Edmonton to celebrate.
The prep work for the party was outrageous. Between collages of Justin Bieber, custom t-shirts, torn up pants and bubbles... it took some time and careful thought.
The day of the party, I thought that Mike knew. I thought someone had blown the surprise. To my delight, after probbing Mike, he had no clue.
My awesome friend *Murphy agreed to go to the venue and set up for the party in advance. When myself, *Grace and *Darrin got there, we had Mike blindfolded. He wasn't listening to instructions very well and managed to slam his head into the door of the building all while yelling "IM BLEEDING!!!!!" We got him in the door and 45 great friends were there to surprise him.
The night turned out to be amazing. Between titty shots of B52, poses for a.f.f. profiles, the time at the pub was a blast.
However, the fun did not stop there. Our group of 5 aren't spring chickens, so the next day was a liiiittttle rough.
Saturday night was an evening of amazing conversation over moroccan food, lots of philosophical insight and laughts. We headed out to slippysbacks birthday party. Took my giant gold Dick with us and convinced all our friends to pose with him in the parking lot of the bar. How I convinced 30 people to follow me outside, I do not know.....
We hit Club R on Saturday night, danced our little hearts out to Tik Tok which is our new favorite song and Just Like A Waving Flag, with a few variations on the lyrics... Thats for you Darrin!!!
Headed back to the house and crawled into bed just after watching Murphy try and vibrate us all to death with her wand and watching Mike try to put on some of my pj's... white track pants should never be worn by a dark guy
Sunday was a day of chilled back-ness, coffee, gay stores and breakfast. All in all.... an Epic weekend.
A big thank you to all of the people who came out Friday night and an even bigger thank you to Mike, Grace, Darrin and Murphy for a weekend that is sure to go down in history!!

I recently posted 3 new profile pictures and I was instantly innundated with emails about them. The majority of the emails that I actually read were ones from people who thought my new profile pic and caption were downright hilarious!
There were a few people who certainly didn't understand the humor behind it, but c'est le vie.

If you have been keeping up with my blog, you will know that I have been away from work for a little bit with my little nephews.
Today is my first day back in the office since July 7th. Getting back into the swing of things is rather difficult at the best of times. However, while going through a dedicated intra-net to catch up on happenings, my attention was drawn to the passing of an accquaintance.
She was diagnosed with Cancer a few weeks ago and passed away last week. She was one of those people that you could call on and she would give you her answer in a blunt yet respectful way. Always smiling and always had a story to tell.
Rest In Peace Heather. You are already deeply missed
