Ah, one more day off. (Before I have to go back in for all of two days of work. Grueling, back-breaking work...okay, not so much.) My friend from Arvada is in town for the day, visiting her , so maybe we'll get together for something. Maybe my other ex-flatmate will finally call to get her stuff out of my pad. This has been a holiday season of nebulous plans, where anything can happen, and so seldom does.

I suppose I'll feel that my ex-flatmate is really gone when her friends stop thinking it's reasonable to knock on the door at 4:30 in the morning asking if she's in. Christmas morning, even.

Meanwhile, half of Catwoman's stuff is still here; she called yesterday but, it developed, only because she wanted a ride to the Uptown Motel and back.

Well, half of the Catwoman's stuff has been out of the house then come back then gone out again. Was supposed to pack up the lot and dump them both down in Pueblo yesterday, but here it is Christmas Eve and still no word. Well, we'll see; an empty back bedroom would be a nice Christmas present for yours truly.

Cat said something about maybe coming over and just chillin' over the holidays, but I don't see "just chillin'" as something that fits into her current lifestyle.

On a somewhat happier note, PTC (the Platonic Traveling Companion) is going to try to come down from Aurora somethime over the holidays to see her , and we might get together to plow our way through her leftovers.

My ex-flatmate's friend said she'd send someone to pick up her stuff if I put the suitcase and boxes outside the door and left, and this time it worked: everything was gone when I came home. Well, I did find one earring on the steps when I was going upstairs, and a box with a rug that I was pretty sure she'd brought to the apartment was left behind, but other than that, she's outta here.

It does leave one small mystery unresolved.

Her mother's ashes were in a small vase that I'd boxed up and left on top of her other things in the back bedroom. When I found out I'd have to leave it outside, I decided I'd better find room for it in a larger box rather than let the wind take it away. But the box was closed up flat and I thought that was odd because before the lid of the vase kept poking up through the flaps. I looked inside and the vase had been upended. Moreover, a silver locket and chain that I'd obtained for my ex-flatmate (from the Crystal Cathedral of all people) and wrapped around the vase was gone.

Only two people besides myself have been in that room: one of my poker buddies who crashed there for a week, and my other ex-flatmate who was sorting through her things. I'd hate to think either one of them would rob a dead woman.

Finally got my car back (I'd hocked it in a futile attempt to keep up with my last flatmate's bar tabs). Started going back to the poker games. Gave four zoo passes to an old poker buddy so she could take her nieces. We'd had a date for the zoo once, a few years back, but she turned her ankle and lost my phone number.

Still have half of my ex-flatmate's stuff, as her friend came to pick up her puppy, picked up half of her things then got bored and left the rest, which now that I think on it was some pretty half-assed bullshit. Now that anothe week has gone by I think I'll call him up and tlel him so. I'd hate to have to call my ex-flatmate when I have a restraining order against her, but she deserves fair warning before all her stuff gets tossed on the lawn. You think?

I picked up Catwoman and brought her over to sort through her things and take some of them to where she'd been staying, then ended up having to bring them back after her roommate bailed on her. Hopefully the lot will be moving down to Pubelo later today.

Was planning on visiting someone in Centennial when I got my car back. But they relocated her to another facility...

Now one of my poker buddies is crashing at my place until he finds a new place, having had to move out of his old place (not counting his truck, the other place he's been staying). I have hypocardia, or whatever the proper term is for too big a heart.

He did check to see if he can have his girlfriend over, once it's time for her to have sex again.

"Don't worry about noise," he said, "I'll put a pillow over her face. It's okay, she likes it."

"Well," I replied, "if anything goes wrong, there's a chest in the living room."

Anyway. Waiting for the ex-flatmate to get her stuff. The previous ex-flatmate, Catwoman, called last night just to check that I didn't have a car yet, then said she'd call back, which she invariably doesn't.

So, my ex-flatmate's friend called and asked when was a good time for her to have her stuff picked up, and I thought it over and told him noon Sunday, so that would be that, then.

Can't even reach Catwoman to ask why she still hasn't been by, so at some point I'll need to hear a good argument why I don't just split her stuff between Goodwill and the dumpster.

Well, I now have a permanent restraining order, so there's one thing to be thankful for. No puppy, though, which I should probably view as a mixed blessing: I still have to get the carpet cleaned but at least it won't get any worse.

Still debating whether I should call the phone number a woman on another site sent me; explaining how you just got rid of a flatmate is not much better than explaining what that woman's doing living in your house, or why it'll still be a few weeks before I have my car back.

Did finally hear from the PTC; she's alive, just suffering from a catalog of ills. Maybe I'll pop up there for a visit, when I get back into my car in three weeks or so.

Haven't been able to raise the Platonic Traveling Companion on the phone all week. Hey, maybe that psycho finally killed her.

Cat Woman hasn't replied to my texts either. Hey. I made cookies and everything.

Monday I'll call and ask how the puppy's doing. Maybe I can get her back, anyway.

Catwoman texted me (having used up her talk minutes I guess) that she was waiting in my parking lot. But as I was minutes away from home I passed her going the other way, off to meet her "friend" at the dollar store. She is waaaay too busy for me these days.

We had Chinese food at the office yesterday. My fortune read: "Today is a good time for being with a companion."

The puppy slipped out the door Saturday night and I didn't see her for a couple of days. Put up some fliers and someone called to let me know they'd picked her up. Of course, no sooner did I get her home than my ex-flatmate's friend came over to pick up the poor beast and take her to his house. He stresses that it's only a temporary arrangement, so I suppose she might come back, if my flatmate doesn't show any sign of being able to responsibly care for her, which seems likely.
