I cant believe it is the middle of July but by the heat, I have to believe it. What a hot summer this has been so far. It's really hard to take sometimes. And sometimes I just walk around my house naked because of it.....
What do you do to beat the heat?

i had a uterine tumor (benign) that was causing some major hemmoraging... (i cant spell it) .. I was slowly bleeding to death. My hemoglobin (which is supposed to run between 12-15) was down to under 5. The dr said I could/would have lapsed into a coma and died if I would have waited any longer.
I didnt know what was happening and at first thought 'it's just menopause' till it became apparent that something was definitely wrong. They admitted me and started giving me transfusions, ran some tests and then decided I had to have surgery immediately. I had 7 units of blood in total, and they took out all the female parts, ... mostly as a preventative so that it would not happen again, nor would there be a chance of cancer.
...
Ladies the moral of this story is this: If you think something is wrong... dont wait! go see a doctor!

And at my age i look at numbers a bit more. i have a difficult time with an age diference of more than say ... 15 or 16 yrs since that would mean i am old enough to be that other person's mother.
It's just not something i take lightly. To me a huge age difference is really creepy.

I was just called a nut job and told i have serious issues by someone when i told them i was a collared submissive.
... i dont understand why people have to be so critical.
i can only assume that it comes from a lack of understanding and a rigidity of thought that does not allow for diversity within sexual expression. i never would have thought i would find that here.
I have a problem with intolerance but it does bring up a question. Is being involved in BDSM a turn off for people?

i was seeking inspiration by looking thru some impressionist paintings the other day. i love the Impressionists period. Art of that period is particularly moving to me. The play of light and shadow, captured within brushstrokes and a play of color and contrast never ceases to astound me. It is profound and it touches me, echoing like a resonating drum within my creative soul.
i have my favorites and some are obvious: van Gogh, Degas, Seurat and of course, Manet and Monet.
But my all time favorite is Jan Vermeer.

That almost dreaded holiday (for some). Well i like it.. always have. Even when i didnt have anyone to celebrate with, i liked it.
This year, like the past 5 yrs, i am with my One. It's still an awesome relationship and expressing my appreciation for it and for Him on this day is easy for me.
i know it sounds sappy. i dont mind though.
Valentines Day is for that sort of thing.
Of course opinions vary.
But all in all, it's special to me.
